It really is quite a depressing day here in "Mud Island" I guess I will have to deploy from the boat this weekend and get on with my project? so not all bad anyway. I have spent much time this week (three days constitutes my week, as I take long weekends, and am trying to reduce it further :o)) ) sourcing the needed components ( well those that I feel will fit and "do the Job")quite often having collected a few bits, I then have to change my mind, as I have found more suitable pieces down the line that they won`t now fit with ? Doh! and so it goes on. I am pleased with my progress so far, sure it could be quicker and more productive but Hey! I have plenty of time!
I have just recieved the delivery of a New, Tailand manufactured, PWM (pulse width modifier 55 amp version) so I will be able to "Smoke" everything now :o(( If I`m not careful, that is!

My reason for this aquisition is so that I will be able to expand the band width from 100 Hz to 3KHtz!!!! Power mad or what???? (Insane laughing doesn`t do it for me but I`m sure it`s there waiting for the right opportunity though) ??????? I intend extending the distance between the board and the controlls with screened cables so that I can create a safety function, that keeps me "out of harms way". I have spent too much time using glass bottles as cells and flying by the seat of my Pants, and to date I have got away with it, I need to take it more seriously now.
I remember when I was riding my old 800 cc BMW motorbike around the mountain lanes of Wales (or anywhere really) I sometimes (very rarely) used to get this little voice (or maybe just a thought, whatever!) in my head as I took yet another bend with my foot rests nearly touching the ground (usually at around 80/100 MPH) and it would say "Man and machine in unison". I ignored it once on my Vincent 1000cc and had the mother of a crash, I don`t ignore it now and when I hear it I instantly "slow down", only to find that as I get around the next bend, maybe Cows all over the road or a diesel oil spill (on the road in wet weather this can be lethal) or just a straight forward road block but it workes for me, and more recently I heard this same voice saying, "Great Job Rob its working well!" and so now, I need some serious protection hence the new cell and the ability to have the PWM control remotely situated. Anyway its time for me to become a little more professional and serious about my endevours and to stop messing around, with my own (and possibly others)personal Safety.
Ahhh!!!! Ive just notice on E-Bay that they have a 1500 century suit of armour for sale Mmmmmmmm! Not sure about the serious bit! maybe professional????? Maybe, Just maybe :o))
