No not the military one, mine! I have sorted my clothing dilemma out after being threatened with being taken to "marks and Spencers" and bought some "nice "clothes ( I don`t do nice, or marks) by all and sundry! I have ordered some expensive Combats off the net along with a selection of designer Polo shirts. I have raked out my Cashmere Reefer Jacket which I have hardly ever worn, favouring yachting clothing, and I will now be new and clean, and quite frankly with the stress involved :o)) I really can`t be "asked" (or maybe half asked) to drag around the shops looking for what I should wear.
I was once told by a male shop assistant that I had an "afeletic" figure (south london speak for athletic) and they didn`t cater for that size, and I am afraid that is true with most of the shops today that have really "attractive" clothes. "fourty six chest sir No chance! we only go up to a extra large". So its sack cloth and ashes for me, for my posh gear :o(( In the past every time I went shopping for clothes I would come home totally deflated and dissapointed and quite frankly I dont want to get into that again.
"I did once in desperation visit High and Mighty" a male large and tall shop but their gear was big chested and large waisted as well as long in the body so I looked like an over clad orangutang (not that theres anything wrong with orangutangs, I once had one in my apple tree at home, who had been taken to the heights of my old tree to aclimatise, her young self, with height, but she screamed the place down and had to be grounded and calmed down with apples and orang juice :o)) I still keep in touch with her and her owner today) but I had no luck there except for a pair of pleated trousers that had my then thirty inch waist, but a fourty something inch leg (that could be altered to suit, yea right! I would have had thigh sized trouser bottoms, maybe I would have been the first in London to wear "bell bottoms" )I didn`t purchase them as the only pair they had was Sherwood green moleskin, Eugh!!
