An observation and comment on the world so far!

For many years now I have been a strong advocate that we (mankind) have only just scratched the surface of the world as we know it, with regard to its wealth (not only in financial wealth but also and more importantly physical wealth, ie health,) the emphasis has to be "on as the way we know it" for we (Mankind) are really although clever in our intent, really have little, relative ability, when it comes to what the world can offer us! so much so that we grab the first things that become evident (like oil, coal and nuclear "fuel) and turn them into a sort of "Bete Noir" to the extent that most of what we have "discovered" has been used for individual gain as well as being damaging in the long term to the earths fabric itself.

Please allow me to explain what I am trying to confer. To give a simple example we have measured that the earth is assuming a "Wabble" on its axis, and that poles may change in the near future as a result, ask yourself why? I certaiinly do, and I can only believe that as we excavate or pump so much of the heart of the earth out of the ground, for our so called needs, replacing it with water,or simply repositioning it, maybe we significantly effect the spin of the earth? Lets face it, if you re positioned the weight of a gyrascope, from its usual, even and equal position, even with as much as a small amount? it won`t spin as well or for as long, and with regard to the Earth, we need that spin to remain the same!

So with the removal from the earth of such items as lead tin gas oil coal stone etc, etc, etc, you can see what I am getting at, not only are we replacing heavy (or possibly lighter) oil with water and lighter material, with regard to oil not only does it have a different specic gravity, it also helped to insulated the earths core. Imagine should sufficient water be pocket in the earth to depths that would allow it to heat up in immense amounts possibly reducing it to its component parts, or simply superheated steam, what might become of the world then? Possible resulting, low frequency resonance could arrise from this action, maybe even more splitting and movement than is occuring within the earths core now? even that which we are experiencing might be as a partial result of our "efforts" so far and (just because we don`t know, or due to our very lited ability, haven`t found out as yet, doesn`t mean that the possibility doesn`t exist) Could it be too much to think that if this redistribution of the earths structure, however small as it appears to be, should continue? Should it do so, it just maybe that the world will by its sudden (relative with regard to the amount of time in existance already) will destroy itself prematurely.

Sure we re distribute much of the other material around the globe, but not only do we do that and maybe effect the worlds stability (we burn oil and polute much of our atmosphere) we also polute her seas and the "great sustainer" is also in a state of demise, we kill (what are effectively) her white blood corpuscules with our merciless hunting of shark fins, and her populace with our overfishing and once again the selfish and merciless destruction of marine mammals to satiate a couple of nations unnecessary culinary greed on the basis of culture? Don`t the marine mammals have any rights or weren`t they part of the earths plan for us (other than to feed us? (when we have other sustainable means) we also pollute her surfaces and atmousphere too so either way The World is, at this present time, undergoing a period of demise.

We, (the miscreants, We, the sexually transmitted desease!) by our ignorance will with our actions, make it impossible for us to live on what the earth can provide, we will have ruined it to the extent that its atmousphere will be inadequate its radiation levels will be far to high for us to accept (just take a moment to, think of the, far too many, skin cancer sufferers at this very moment, and remember that we haven`t even really started our destructive journey down).

OK so where do we go? what do I feel we can do to help ourselves? An infamous dictator was purpoted to have said "every journey starts with a single step" (Mao) and ours, I believe, is with a paradigm shift in our attitude toward The Earth we musn`t just regard it as our great provider of all things although it is in many ways? we must also listen to what it, "She" says for she speaks continuously but never in our native languuages. she certainly points the way to her demise, if we carry on, with tsunamis, quakes, dangerous weather pattens, destruction of, and holes in the Ozone layer etc, etc, and much more she doesn`t restrict us in anyway we have to do that ourselves.

, we have been given a modicum of intelligence and ability by our attainments in the vartious sustaining fields of science and medicine etc but we still need to listen! just because one eminent scientist states that we *can`t get more out than we put in with regard to enegy" ! Or that nothing travelles faster than the speed of light, doesn`t mean that we have to believe it! Indeed Einstein would be dancing with joy if he knew that Nutrinos can travel significantly faster than light (breaking news today from Cern in Geneva?) We must try to listen to what the World tries to tell us or at least we should try to decipher. Just stop and think for a moment why anything happens that surely would be a good first step in our journey away from the inevitable demise of the earth?

Most excellent piece Mr. Orb.
Much food for thought there, very intelligent aand insightful.
Sure do wish everybody would just stop for one minute and consider thoughts like this.
But the masses seem to be hell-bent on our eventual destruction and demise.
Very chilling and sad.
But true.
