Well I`m getting there slowly!

Five almost complete drive circuits for the ultrasonic anti fouling device,

Just a single water-proof latching switch to be fitted to the blue wire in the opposite end to the two "glands" (ie on the "top"end of the box which is pictured up-side-down) and the cable from the now "Potted" transducer and the power supply hooked up (12vdc) through the glands at the now bottom of the box! and I`m done!

With the exception of glassing in the transducer "back nut" at two positions in the depths of the hull of my boat, with one in particular, between the two drive shafts, "P" brackets and prop assemblies and the other about 25%/30% of the boat length from the bow.

The transducer head is created from three main items (six, if you include the transducer itself. The Cable Gland ( not yet fitted), cable, potting, housing (two pieces) :o)) ) with the large black "back nut" being that which is bonded to the hull, the grey housing is filled with potting compound, after another cable gland is inserted in the side and the drive cable connection attached!

The transducer assembly awaiting gland, cable and potting

Thansducer settled in housing, wired and ready, awaiting potting, thanks John!

I am hoping to have some pretty good, and possibly surprising, results in the not too distant future, Hopefully? Ever the optomist eh???????? :o))

This project is of course all part of my attempt to reduce my carbon footprint, as with a Clean Bottom I will creat a much lesser carbon output :o)) Now,,,,, when In running on water!!!!! well thats another project thats progressing well, I can hear your yawning so I will quit while Im ahead Tee Hee!:o))!

Hi Bill Thanks for the comment !yes they will sure save some painting and bottom cleaning time if they work and lifting out time too etc, etc, etc, annodes needed of course and regular inspections of the thru-hulls etc (do I hear the mention of DIVER?) but even if it extends the time between lift- outs its got to be good? No offence taken at the yawn comment by the way! I truly deserve it! :o)) Yawn! :o))

Rob, you're truly amazing; I just never know what I'll find when I come over to check on you. Love watching what you're up to. On a happy note, I get to entertain Our Liz & Jack onboard KJ over the July 4th weekend. We'll be doing the Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival (a stones throw across the lake we live on, quite literally) and they'll be staying. Really can't wait til you and Carol make it across the pond one of these days!
